Moor Street Proposals Consultation

Closed 27 Aug 2019

Opened 5 Aug 2019

Overview

West Lancashire Borough Council is committed to helping Ormskirk town centre be the best it can be. As such the Council is considering the implementation of a public realm scheme that will have the potential to deliver significant benefits to the town centre. Enhancements at Moor Street will provide a streetscape that will support local businesses and the growth of the market, create space for people to enjoy the town's heritage assets and conservation area and make the overall appearance of Ormskirk town centre more attractive.

The Council anticipates the works being implemented in the New Year to avoid the busy Christmas shopping period.

A public exhibition, showing details of the proposed Moor Street works will be held between 12.30pm-4.30pm at 16 Burscough Street (formerly Timpsons) on Wednesday 7th, Thursday 8th and Thursday 22nd of August 2019.
